Solar outdoor path light as received at the consolidation warehouse — **As received.** The lot on the dock before anything is opened — counted against the packing list and checked for carton damage first, because a claim on transit damage has to be raised before the goods are moved.

How this order was run

Worked the list back to the Zhongshan (Guzhen) factories that hold the tooling and the finish in house, and dropped two candidates whose quotes did not survive a price-pattern check.
Ran the first unit off the line through the full check sheet before bulk started, and corrected the packing rather than the product.
Held the balance of payment until the inspection set had been opened and photographed on our floor.

The note

Outdoor product is judged after one season, not on arrival. Gasket design, coating thickness and screw grade are the three things that decide whether the client reorders.

It is why outdoor product is bought on gasket, coating and screw grade rather than on appearance, and why the trial order comes before the seasonal one.
